Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with Maria in many different capacities-- we worked as peers when she was at the Calgary School Board and I was at Calgary Catholic Immigration Society, I reported to her at Columbia College, and I have provided freelance services to her (business writing workshops to her employees) through my own company. Her intelligence, excellent communication skills, and resourcefulness have always impressed me.
